Frequently asked questions
- Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
- No. All rotation happens directly in your browser using your device's own processing power. Your file never leaves your computer.
- Can I rotate just one page instead of all pages?
- Yes. Each page has individual rotate-left and rotate-right buttons in the thumbnail grid. Use the 'Rotate all' buttons in the settings panel when you want to apply the same rotation to every page at once.
- What rotation increments are supported?
- Rotations are applied in 90° steps. Click the same direction multiple times to rotate 180° or 270°.
- Will the rotation be permanent in the saved PDF?
- Yes. The rotation is written into the PDF page metadata using pdf-lib, so the downloaded file will open correctly in any PDF viewer.
- Can I rotate an encrypted or password-protected PDF?
- If the PDF can be opened without a password, yes. PDFs with a user (open) password that prevents viewing cannot be processed in the browser.
