How to Compress Product Images for TikTok Shop
TikTok Shop bounced your product photo, and it's usually for one of three reasons: the file is over the 5 MBcap, it's not a 1:1 square, or the main image doesn't have a clean white background. Here's how to fix the size and shape so your listing sails through review.
How to compress a TikTok Shop product image with QuickWand
- Open the free image compressor and drop in your product photos.
- Use Resize → Max size to set the longest side to around
1000px. Keep the photo square (1:1) — TikTok Shop requires it, and the minimum is 600 x 600 px (800 x 800 px recommended). - Lower the Quality slider and watch the live size estimateunder each file until it's comfortably under 5 MB.

Get the square right before you compress
Since TikTok Shop enforces 1:1 and a white-background main image, frame and crop your hero shot to a square on a white backdrop first, then resize to ~1000 px and compress under 5 MB. If your photos came off an iPhone as .heic files, convert them with the HEIC to JPG converter first, since TikTok Shop only takes JPEG and PNG. And a heavy PNG studio export will shrink sharply through the PNG to JPG converter before you compress.
